Orlando is filled to the brim with unique and beautiful parks and green spaces. On top of this, there is a plethora of gardens that you can stroll through and enjoy the scenic beauty. Orlando living gives you the chance to enjoy the fun of city life while also being able to take a break every once in a while to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Here are some of the best parks in Orlando, FL.

Fishing Locale: Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake

Bill Frederick Park is a sprawling green space that covers 183 acres of land by Turkey Lake. It is ranked as one of the top five places to fish in the state of Florida. This park is ideal for those who love nature, as its gives you and your family the opportunity to enjoy many scenic views and partake in fun recreational activities. There are also many trails for you to hike or simply stroll along while enjoying the view of the beautiful lake water.

Cherry Tree Park

This quaint neighborhood park is located on the corner of Jackson Street and Primrose Drive. It covers almost an acre of land with open-air fields that are perfect for dog owners who want to play a game of fetch. Additionally, it is the ideal place to take your children, as there is an excellent playground that they can spend hours on without getting bored. On top of this, Cherry Tree Park has a pavilion that makes for a great picnic or event area. It also has shaded areas for when it gets hot.

Dartmouth Park

Dartmouth Park is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of College Park. It sprawls across three acres of land and is the perfect destination for families who want to hold a birthday party or family picnic. This park contains two pavilions, as well as plenty of shade from the Pine and Oak trees. Additionally, if you’d like to get some exercise, then this is the ideal park to visit as there is an outstanding exercise course designed to get your heart pumping and those calories burning. Keep in mind that it can sometimes be hard to find parking on the nearby side streets of this park, so you may want to arrive early.

Demetree Park

Demetree Park was established in 1988 as a park designed for a multitude of outdoor activities. The almost 25-acre green space is home to three lakes. You can explore these lakes by walking around the boardwalks and paths that snake through and link these bodies of water. Demetree Park is an excellent bird watching locale, as well as an excellent place for people to get some peace and quiet.
